HOW DOES THE DRX9000 / DRX9000C WORK?
The DRX9000 and DRX9000C were designed to provide primary treatment for patients suffering from back and neck pain associated with herniated, bulging, and degenerative disc conditions. Patients with disc conditions often experience radiation of pain and numbness into the buttocks, leg, foot, arm, or hand. These symptoms are often the result of the disc material between the spinal vertebra protruding out of place (similar to squeezing a jelly donut) and compressing or "pinching" against the spinal nerves or cord. Stretching or tearing of the outer ligament bands (annulus fibrosis) of the disc has to occur in order for the disc "jelly" (nucleus pulposis) to protrude out of place. Stretching or tearing of the outer ligament bands (annulus fibrosis) may happen suddenly with trauma / injury or slowly over time with repetitive strain and the aging process of the body. Unfortunately the discs between the spinal vertebra are constantly under positive pressure whether we are sitting, standing, or laying down and the annulus fibrosis never has a chance to heal once it has been damaged... until now
Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression with the DRX9000 for low back treatment, utilizes a special table with a two harness system and split table design to apply a computerized controlled decompressive pull to the spine gently separating the vertebra and reducing intradiscal pressure from positive to negative. Negative intradiscal pressure created during decompression forms a "vacuum effect" which retracts disc material back into place relieving symptoms, and also finally taking pressure off of the outer disc bands (annulus fibrosis) that have stretched or torn and allowing the body to heal. The DRX9000C for neck treatment utilizes an attachable headpiece mechanism to apply decompressive pull to the neck and additional cold-laser therapy option to further reduce swelling and pain during treatment.
The DRX900 and DRX9000C utilize the lastest, cutting-edge technology to provide safe and effective treatment. The decompressive pull is constantly monitored by the servo-amplifier motor to provide a patient friendly and precision treatment every time. The patient is also given a safety stop switch for personal control during treatment. The angle of decompressive pull can be adjusted to target and isolate affected disc levels of the spine during treatment. Axiom Worldwide, the manufacturer of the DRX9000, is commited to excellence by combining technology and science to benefit patients around the world.
